If you get an error when trying to install BitTitan’s agent of “There was an error installing BitTitan Device Management Agent (DMA), please contact your administrator or support for assistance”, one reason may be because the computer is running Windows 7 that does not have TLS 1.1 and 1.2 as default secure protocols.

The fix is to enable it by following this Microsoft KB. You can manually create the required registry keys or use the Easy Fix download that the article includes.

  1. Download and install the Easy Fix.
  2. Try installing DMA again (sometimes reboot is not necessary).
  3. If still fails, reboot and then install DMA.
